Special Feature - Pamaskong Galing Pilipino 2009

The Light-a-Tree-for-Unity Project is a special fund-raising drive for the benefit of nation-building causes using giant 20’ Christmas trees and colored light bulbs as the medium of donation. The main site of the First Lighting of PGP trees will be at the Marikina River Park. Simultaneous PGP events will be held in Angono, Taytay, San Mateo, Baliuag, Cebu, Cagayan de Oro, etc. These PGP 2009 special events will be led by hometown heroes who represent the bright lights of our Bayanihan Christmas celebration like the Mt Everest/Balanghay rescuers who will be at the Marikina River Park together with about 3000 kids lighting candles around the “river of transformation”.
